HEISSES  KRAUT  PAPRIKA  BROT  

Bread with Hot Pepper Cabbage

4 slices of black bread
300 g white cabbage
150 g onion
4 cloves of garlic
200 g cream cheese
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp. sage leaves (fresh) or 1 tsp. dried
1 tsp. of paprika powder
salt, pepper, oil

 

 

Remove stalk from cabbage and cut cabbage into 1 cm cubes. Peel onion and garlic and chop both finely. Heat oil in a pan and fry garlic and onion shortly. Add the cabbage, fry briefly, cover and simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. Place cabbage in a bowl and let cool.
Preheat oven to grill position.
Mix well cabbage mixture with cream cheese, egg yolk, sage and paprika powder and season with salt and pepper. Brush bread with the mixture and gratinate in oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
