SEMMELKNÖDEL  

Bread Dumplings

250 g stale rolls cubed
50 g butter
2 tbsp. chopped onion
2 tbsp. parsley (chopped)
3 eggs
250 ml milk
3 tbsp. flour
salt

   

 

Melt butter and sauteé onions until light brown. Put bread cubes into a bowl, thoroughly mix eggs, milk and salt, pour over the bread cubes. add onions and parsley. Set aside to rest for 15 minutes, then fold in flour. Boil salt water in a large pot, form 4 - 6 dumplings with moist hands, reduce the heat and simmer the dumplings for approx. 12 minutes.
