FISCH  in  TOMATENSAUCE   

Fish Filets in Tomatoes Sauce

1 kg fish filets (codfish)
400 g tomatoes
3 tbsp. parsley or basil
5 cloves of garlic
juice of 2 lemons
2 stalks celery
3 tbsp. olive oil
salt, pepper

 

 

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Peel tomatoes, remove seeds and dice them. Chop parsley, garlic and peeled celery. Mix well all ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Place fish filets in a gratin dish, side by side and poor over tomatoe mixture. Cover gratin dish with aluminium foil and bake in the middle of oven about 30 minutes. Then remove foil, raise the temperature to 200°C and bake 40 minutes more.
Serve lukewarm with white bread.
