SOUVLAKI   mit   GRIESCHISCHEN   SALAT 

Souvlaki with Greek Salad

Salad
1 red onion
2 yellow peppers
4 cloves of garlic
1 cucumber
juice of 1 lemon
3 tbsp. olive oil
salt, pepper
Souvlaki
700 g chicken breast filet
5 tbsp. olive oil
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp. thyme, oregano, rosmary (dried)
1 bay leaf (hackled)
2 cloves of garlic (mashed)
salt, pepper, cocktail tomatoes

 

 

Salad: Cut onion into rings and the yellow peppers into stripes. Cut garlic and cucumber into slices. For marinade mix well lemon juice, oilive oil, salt and pepper. Marinade salad.
Souvlaki: Dice chicken filets and put them into a boil. Mix well all ingredients for the marinade and cover filets with it.
Let it sit for about 4 hours in the refrigerator. Thread the chicken cubes and halved cocktail tomatoes onto a skewer. Barbecue or fry souvlaki.
Cover plates with salat, on top souvlaki. Sprinkle with rosmary.
