GURKEN  PFANNE  

Cucumber Pan

1 onion
400 g minced meat
1 egg
bread crumbs
salt, pepper
1.2 kg cucumber
2 carrots
375 ml beef stock (cube)
100 g cream
dried chili pepper
1 bunch dill
2 tbsp. oil, sauce thickener

 

 

Peel onion and dice finely. Knead the minced meat, egg and some bread crumbs and season with salt and pepper. Form small balls.
Peel the cucumbers and carrots. Halve cucumber, remove seeds and cut into pieces, dice carrots.
Heat oil in a frying pan, fry the minced meatballs for about 5 minutes and remove them.
Fry cucumbers, sprinkle with soup and simmer for 10 minutes. Add 5 minutes before end of cooking the meatballs and carrots. Pour in cream, stir in sauce thickener and bring to the boil. Season with salt, pepper and crushed chili peppers. Stir in chopped dill.

 

       Side dish: salted potatoes
