Sauerkraut Hungarian

500 g minced meat mixed
1 onion
2 tbsp. round grain rice
2 eggs
salt, pepper
4 tsp. paprika powder
1 tbsp. butter
1 kg Sauerkraut
8 pimento seeds
3 bay leaves
500 ml beef stock



Put the mince in a bowl and mix in the finely diced onion. Rinse and drain the rice and mix into the mince. Add the eggs, salt and pepper and season with 1 tsp. paprika powder. Knead the mixture well and form 8 dumplings. Preheat the oven to 200 C°. Butter a pot and put half of the sauerkraut in it. Spread the pimento seeds and bay leaves on top and arrange the dumplings on top. Sprinkle the rest of the paprika powder on top. Heat the soup briefly and pour over the dish. Cover and cook in the oven on the middle shelf for 1 hour. Add water if necessary.
