Cut beef into 2 inch cubes. Peel tomatoes and divide
into quarters. Dice finely onions,bacon, rosemary and sage leaves.
Remove seeds from hot peppers and dice finely too. Heat oil in a pot and
roast bacon cubes. Add onions and hot peppers and saute stirring
constantly for 3-4 minutes of until soft and golden. Now add beef,
tomatoes, tomato paste, rosemary, sage leaves and bay leaves. Season
with sweet paprika, salt and pepper. Add soup and let all simmer covered
by low heat about 1,5 hours until meat is tender.
To thicken, stir in Wondra flour or corn flour mixed well with some
water, stir well and cook without cover until sauce has thickened. |
