RINDFLEISCH  KHORMA  mit  MANDELN 

Khorma Beef with Almonds

3 tbsp. oil
3 onions (finely chopped)
1 kg beef (diced)
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. Garam Masala
2 tsp. coriander (ground)
2 tsp. ginger (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (pressed)
150 g yoghurt
4 cloves
6 cardamom pods (green)
10 peppercorns
600 ml of water
almond slivers
2 green chillies (chopped)
parsley (chopped)

 

 

Mix well salt, garam masala, coriander, ginger, garlic and yogurt in a bowl.
Fry onions in oil. Place the meat into pan and fry 5 minutes. Remove the pot from the heat and add the meat bit by bit into the marinade and mix. All return back into the pan and fry for another 5 minutes.
Add cloves, cardamom pods and peppercorns. Douse with water and simmer 60 minutes, uncovered.
Then the meat should not be tender, simmer for another 15 minutes and if needed add some water.
Before serving, sprinkle the Khorma with almonds, chiles and parsley.

 

           Side dish: rice or Poppadoms
