Malakoff Cream

1 package custard powder (37 g)
400 ml milk
50 g granulated sugar
1 package vanilla sugar
250 ml whipped cream
75ml milk
75 ml rum
24 ladyfingers
cocktail cherries
 
 

  Mix well custard powder with 6 El cold milk. Boil the remaining milk with vanilla and granulated sugar. Stir in pudding mix and cook while stirring for 1 minute. Decant pudding into a bowl and place covered cold. Stir well the cooled pudding with a mixer 2 minutes. Fold stiffly beaten whipped cream into the custard.
Mix milk with rum. Douse per portion 4 halved ladyfingers in the milk-rum dip mix and place them alternately with cream in dessert bowls. Chill overnight. Before serving decorate with cherries.
