Lentil Soup with Cabanossi

300 g lentils
150 g bacon
1.5 liters vegetable soup
1 bay leaf
10 peppercorns
400 g greens
200 g Cabanossi
1 small. peeled tomatoes (canned)
salt, pepper, thyme

 

 

Dice bacon cubes and render down in a pot. Add lemtils add and sauté briefly. Douse with soup. Add bay leaves, peppercorns and thyme and simmer for 20 minutes. Wash, peel and chop the greens. Cabanossi cut into slices. Place vegetables and sausage into the soup and simmer for another 20 minutes. Last divide the drained tomatoes and also add to the soup.
